Want a free operating system that can run on any low-end, old computer of your's? Well, Interhavion's has your back with the free, terminal-based operating system: rDOS!


It is a beta edition, so its features are limited, however it can tell you the time, the specifications of your computer and power it.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • An x86 (32-bit) based processor only
  • At least 52 megabytes of RAM
  • A keyboard (if you are using a laptop, you must plug in a USB or PS/2 keyboard)
  • A monitor

Install instructions

1. Navigate to where the file has been downloaded

2. Burn the ISO to a DVD or USB

3. Power on your computer and repeatedly hit the required key to enter your BIOS (F2 or DEL most of the time)

4. Navigate to the "Boot" tab

5. Move USB or USB FDD to the top of the sequence so it can boot off the usb (CD-ROM instead if you have burnt it to a DVD)

6. Save changes and restart

7. You should now be in the operating system!
